Maeve Moayedi is a boundary-pushing experimental artist inspired by the undulations, fluidity and movement of water.

Seeking to deconstruct and draw bridges between genres, social dualisms or any form of structure, she explores the connection of sounds through textures, merging her voice with natural field recordings, nu jazz, contemporary classical, and experimental electronic synthesis, finding her sound in between soundscapes and traditional composition. Whether she's wandering through extreme natural environments like glaciers, oceans and deserts or delving deep into the studio, her process involves translating these experiences through technology and experimental approaches. Her work explores the intersection of embodiment, discomfort, and vulnerability as ways to reconnect mind and body dualities.

At the heart of her creative journey is the monumental project, "Silencing Nature / Healing Dualisms", a culmination of a five-year research endeavour during her masters in Sonic Arts and Intersectional Feminism. This transformative project manifests as a photography series, a book and a sound installation set for official release this coming year.

Ahead of the release of this project, she is currently working on her debut EP, an extract of which can be found in the music section.Music
