With a mixed cultural heritage, Maeve has always sought to bring multiple identities into one and curates her musical selections through earthy electronic sounds, which a focus on acoustic instrumentation superposed with electronic textures. Inspired by the South East London music scene she extends this palette to loud bass and heavy beats - bridging genres through funky and afro house, techno, experimental cumbia, deep reggaeton amongst many, bringing listeners on a bassy and polyrhytmic musical exploration. She has played in venues including Southbank Centre, The Jago, The Fox and Firkin, Low Profile Studios, Cafe 1001, Nt’s Loft, N’90, SET dalston, Colours Hoxton, Electrowerkz and has done shows on Balamii radio, Threads, Subtle FM, Netil amongst a few others and has performed at various festivals including Gottwood, Cosmic Roots, WeOutHere, Lemonland, Risen festival. She is a core member of WXMB2 and Migrant Connections, SISU resident and a regular with Mehmooni.As part of her singing and sound art practice she also has a monthly residency on Foundation FM where she explores experimental ambient and electronic worlds over philosophical conversations.
